A Surprise Proposal at Upham Beach

There’s nothing quite as magical as a surprise proposal on Upham Beach, and I had the honor of capturing one of these special moments for Daniel and Bridget. This lovely couple from South Florida chose the scenic Upham Beach in St. Pete were staying nearby, so Daniel chose this beach for their special moment!

The Perfect Plan

Daniel had been coordinating with me for a week leading up to the big day to ensure everything was perfect. After a romantic anniversary dinner, he and Bridget would take a walk on the beach to see the sunset. We planned the exact spot ahead of time, and I was ready and waiting to capture the moment as it unfolded!

The Big Moment

As they strolled along the shore, the sun began to set, casting a beautiful golden glow over the beach. When they reached the perfect spot, Daniel got down on one knee and proposed. It was a heartfelt and emotional moment, and I loved capturing every precious moment!

A Time for Privacy

When I photograph a proposal, I always give the couple about 5-10 minutes of privacy right after the big moment. This allows them to be present, process the moment, and call loved ones! It’s an important time for them to soak in the joy and excitement of their engagement without going right into a photo shoot.

Mini Engagement Session

After their private moment, we started their mini engagement session. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect, as the sunset provided a stunning backdrop for their photos. We captured beautiful images of Daniel and Bridget standing at the edge of the water and on the jetty rocks, creating memories they will cherish forever.
