I had the privilege of being Alex + Chris’ photographer for their engagement session on St. Pete Beach. Coral Reef Beach Resort holds a special place in Alex + Chris’ hearts, as they’ve stayed there before on previous visits to St. Pete Beach. But this time was extra special!

A Memorable Engagement on the Balcony at Coral Reef

Chris almost popped the question on their first night at Coral Reef, but he decided to wait til the second night. Alex had a feeling it would happen soon, so she was anticipating it happening at any minute! On their second night, with the sound of the waves as their backdrop, he proposed and she accepted, beginning their engagement journey in their favorite place.

From Proposal to Spontaneous Photoshoot

The very next day, so excited about their engagement, they contacted me for an impromptu engagement photoshoot! They wanted to capture this special place in their engagement story. I was so happy that I was available and could meet them for a magical sunset engagement session on St. Pete Beach.

Chasing the Sunset

We began their session on the beach about 30 minutes before sunset. We had beautiful light as the sun went down and then epic colors once it passed the horizon. We had a blast laughing, playing, and capturing their love with the gorgeous sunset as their backdrop.

I LOVED the cut of Alex’s diamond! It’s called a “kite cut.”
