Kevin and Sydney’s engagement session at Tampa Riverwalk was such a beautiful documentation of their story. We got to take photos were they had their first kiss AND where they got engaged! As a St. Pete-based photographer specializing in couples’ engagement sessions (who LOVES shooting in Tampa!), I had so much fun going to the heart of downtown Tampa to capture this engagement session at Tampa Riverwalk!

A First Kiss to Remember at Ulele

We began the shoot at Ulele, the site of their first date and first kiss! Sydney shared a delightful anecdote about Kevin’s spontaneous kiss during their first date, which ended humorously with Kevin nearly tumbling from his chair. We honored this sweet moment when Kevin  “fell” for Sydney by getting photos of them enjoying cocktails together.

Exploring the Tampa Riverwalk

Kevin and Sydney began the shoot in elegant attire, in colors that looked stunning against the backdrop of the Riverwalk. Following Sydney’s thoughtfully crafted map (which she marked with hearts to signify all the places special to their story), we walked from Ulele to the vibrant scenes at Armature Works – a spot they can walk to from their apartment for special evenings together!

We also explored WaterWorks Park, and walked along the river as they reminisced about their relationship. We ended up at their apartment so they could change into a casual outfit. Before our next location, Sydney and Kevin told me their engagement story. And I captured photos in the exact spot it happened on their balcony! Sydney’s incredible plan for the engagement session brought us to locations that weren’t just backgrounds for photographs – they were chapters in their love story.

Concluding with a Picnic at Julian B Lane Park

We finished this romantic engagement session at Tampa Riverwalk with a casual picnic setup in Julian B Lane Park. The couple laughed and shared chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne. And then the Tampa skyline provided a gorgeous backdrop for last moments of the shoot!
