Hey, sweet dreamers out there. Are you sitting in a cubicle under fluorescent lights? Are you desperately wishing you were anywhere else? Are you just glad it’s Friday because the weekend means you’ll have time to work on your side hustle? Are you swallowing the anxiety of not knowing whether you’ll ever make your dream job a reality?

If you are, then I want to tell you something super important…

You’ve got this.

You know how I know? I know because I’ve been there. I’ve been to the darkest corners of dream chasing, and I know the things that haunt those spaces. But I made it to the other side–the side where snooze alarms aren’t hit 5x (just once or twice because let’s be real, sleep is the best) because you are so dang excited for your day to start. The side where every moment of your work day matters, because busy work no longer exists.

And I know you’ve got this, because you are still reading this and thinking I WANT THAT. 🙌🏻

But maybe you are still not sure how exactly to get it. Well here’s my secret…

I built the net before I jumped. None of that “jump and the net will appear” nonsense. Nope. I side-hustled like woah. I worked nights and weekends. I saved saved saved until I had a six month cushion. I made sure I had every piece of necessary equipment. I booked enough weddings to know I could pay my rent. And only THEN did I jump into that beautiful net I had so carefully crafted over six years. 

So, sweet dreamer, today I want you to start looking at your dream differently. Start solidifying what jumping into your net looks like, and then make a plan for how to add some more rope to that net.

When you jump, I want you to look down and say “I’ve got this” because you KNOW. Because you built that net, and you know it’s solid.
