Carlos + Emily | Southbound Brewing Co. Reception

Carlos and Emily had the honor of hosting the first ever wedding reception at Southbound Brewing Co.!
If you are looking for an industrial reception venue in Savannah, Southbound is a fantastic, unique location. Your cocktail hour (or, craft beer hour!) can be held at the bar by the entrance, you can dance the night away next to the tanks, and you can even create your own personalized small batch keg to serve your guests. Carlos concocted the Fancy Firkin Wit, with pineapple, strawberry and Eldorado hops, and I won’t lie…I totally tried it, and it was totally amazing. But you’ve also got the other Southbound brews on tap (the Scattered Sun Belgian Wit is my personal fave!), and your guests get to take home their Southbound pint glass as a wedding favor. You even have the option of upgrading to a monogrammed glass!

This space was so much fun to shoot in, and I love Carlos and Emily’s rustic decor combined with the industrial vibe. I can’t wait to see how future couples bring their own aesthetic into this gorgeous new Savannah reception venue.

Are you ready to get your craft beer party on?!

Psst…If you missed Carlos and Emily’s Chatham Square ceremony, you should go check out those photos too. 🙂

If you didn’t already know how much this couple loves craft beer, this will be all the proof you need. In addition to the traditional wedding cake, Carlos and Emily decided to serve craft beer-infused frozen custard from Savannah icecreamists, Exit Strategy. Um, can you say DELICIOUS?? I tasted both the blackberry sorbet and the cookie dough ice cream, and they were equally drool-worthy.

Check out those awesome pint glasses! And I love the touch of the bees on the place cards. Hops and honey, baby…that’s Carlos and Emily in a nutshell!

Oh string lights…be still my heart.

Carlos got to tap his small batch masterpiece, the Fancy Firkin Wit.

Southbound just released their first beer cans in October — aren’t they so cool??

I love when a bride isn’t afraid to change into comfortable kicks so she can get her dance on properly.

Carlos and Emily, thank you for being such a FUN, sweet couple (and wonderful friends!), and I wish you many, many years of hops, honey and happiness. <3

Thank you so much to all the wonderful vendors who made Carlos and Emily’s wedding day so lovely…
