Washington DC Family Session

When I was in Washington DC this summer, I got the chance to photograph a sweet family on the National Mall, and we just had the best time! Taking photos in front of the Washington Monument and Reflecting Pool was such a magical experience. Whenever I am in DC, I love to shoot family and couple sessions! There are so many beautiful places around the area, from the Chesapeake Bay, to downtown DC.

Mary is a friend of a friend, and we’d met briefly before but got to actually spend some time chatting during her shoot, and y’all – this family’s story is just so special. That’s one of my greatest joys as a photographer – getting to know my incredible clients’ stories and then capturing a little piece of them. And this shoot was definitely another one of those my-heart-is-so-full moments.

We started the shoot in National Mall, where the parks are so beautiful. Mary wore a super cute mustard dress, and her baby girl had a bow to match. Their daughter was all smiles during the shoot! We walked over to the National Monument, for a few more portraits. I can’t wait to shoot my next DC Family Session!
