Charity + Troy visited Savannah to celebrate their 12-year anniversary, and I could tell from the moment I met them that there was something special about their love. The way they looked at each other, laughed together, and touched each other held a weight that I could feel but didn’t have the words to explain. I found out a bit about their story during the shoot – they had starting dating as teenagers after meeting in youth group, and they fell in love, got married, and now have four kids. It was a sweet story, but I didn’t know the rest of it til Charity posted one of my photos to an Instagram account called @marriagebuilttolast.

As I read about their story, it all started to make sense – that something special I was feeling as I took their photos was the strength of a marriage that had been tested in a major way and come out on the other side stronger than ever.
