The first time I met Kristin + Matt was on their wedding day. I already knew from our conversations that I was going to love this sweet couple, but you know what sealed the deal? When Kristin hugged me hello like she’d known me for years. (My mom taught me that a good hug is a tight hug, and that hugging when you greet someone is the best way to make them feel welcomed, so I’ve always been a “hugger.”)
And I was right. From that moment on, the day was pure magic. Kristin and her daughter London both wore flower crowns as two families became one in front of the Forsyth Park fountain. Matt got down low and promised to love London as much as her mama, forever and ever. And Kristin’s happiness just washed over everyone in attendance, bringing tears and smiles to everyone in attendance.
It’s weddings like these that make me endlessly grateful for my job. I get to witness true love on a weekly basis, and I get to play a small role in the beginning of a couple’s marriage adventure. It’s a role I don’t take lightly, and the honor is almost surreal at times. And since a picture is worth 1,000 words, I’ll wrap up my writing and let the photos from the beautiful day do the rest of the talking. ❤
