Stacey + TJ met in elementary school, back in the days when she was taller than him and girls had cooties. Their photos in the yearbook were side by side, and that’s how their lives continued over the years–side by side first as best friends, and then as much, much more.

They planned to say their vows on Tybee Beach, with the sun shining on their faces and the waves lapping on the shore nearby. But Hurricane Joaquin had other ideas, and their ceremony location was flooded on their wedding day. But as fate would have it, the Tybee Post Theater was a short walk down the road from their original location, and it had just finished renovations the week before. They were able move their ceremony inside its red brick walls at the very last minute, and that’s where their adventure into married life together finally began.
