Savannah Elopement at Whitefield Chapel I love when my couples plan a wedding that’s exactly what THEY want. Chanda + Paul wanted to have their family with them, a classic car ride, beers and a first look at Moon River Brewing, pictures with a horse (no joke!), gorgeous oak trees over their heads, and a […]

Danielle + Travis planned such a sweet Savannah wedding – from a first look in Telfair Square, to photos by the Lafayette Square fountain, to a ceremony in Forsyth Park, to a celebration lit by string lights in the backyard of The Whitman. They made sure to include all their favorite Savannah spots, and each moment was just filled to the brim with laughter and romance.

Sometimes life takes you on a path you’d never expect – but it brings you to exactly where you are supposed to be.
Amber + James have a love story for the books, and they got to celebrate joining their families (they have four boys between them!) at Bethesda last fall. Between tears and laughter, hugs and prayers, they stood in front of their families and pledged to love each other forever.

It had already started to rain, and the first look was supposed to happen outside as soon as Maddy put her dress on. And despite the rain, Maddy was smiling. Because she knew – she knew that her wedding day was more than the perfect photos in Forsyth Park. She knew it was about celebrating her love with Jon – even if that meant everything didn’t go quite as planned.

Maddy + Jon traveled all the way from Oregon to have their wedding in Savannah – and oh, am I so glad they did! I actually didn’t meet Maddy + Jon until the night of their rehearsal dinner, but I felt like we were already close friends, because thank goodness for social media. Maddy and I had been following each other and messaging back and forth for months, bonding over our love of pugs in particular. (Her pug Monty would be best friends with Winston, if they lived on the same coast!)

Every time I’m asked about my style of photography, I say I’m a mix of “curated + photojournalistic.” Which is this photo exactly in a nutshell…but let me explain.

Carly + Clint said “I do” on my birthday (which, yes, was back in October! ha!), and I can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday than to photograph a couple who are so dang in love. Their energy was completely contagious – I could feel so much love and joy between not only them, but also their friends + families. The amount of laughing, y’all – my face hurt by the end of the wedding! It was pure giddiness from the First Look on, and needless to say, I loved every second of it.
