Choosing the Right Location

If you’re still deciding on a location, that’s ok! I know so many dreamy spots in both Savannah, GA and St. Pete, FL—from iconic, romantic favorites to quiet corners full of charm. And depending on the package you booked, you may get to choose two locations!

I offer two session options:

  • Azalea Package: One location / one outfit / 45-60 minutes

  • Palm Package: Two locations / option for an outfit change / up to 90 minutes

Not sure which is right for you? Think about how much variety you want in your gallery, and how much time you want to spend during your session. Two-location sessions give you a little more storytelling range (think beach + greenery, or formal + fun), while one-location sessions are great if you want something short, sweet, and simple to document this special chapter in your love story.

What to Wear: Outfits That Photograph Well (and Feel Like You)

First, think about how you’ll use the photos. Are you using them for your Save the Dates or invitations? If so, it’s a great idea to choose outfits and colors that coordinate with your wedding vibe and overall palette. And second, consider the location(s) you choose for your shoot—outfits that complement your surroundings will make your photos feel cohesive and natural, whether you’re strolling downtown or playing in the waves.

If you book the two-outfit session, most couples go with:

  • One casual look (think flowy dress or jeans + cute top – more relaxed)

  • One dressier look (such as a dress + heels for her and a crisp button-down for him – or even go full cocktail glam!)

That said—you do you! This is your love story. Pick outfits that make you feel confident, comfortable, and like yourselves.

Still unsure? I’m happy to help you narrow it down or send over past galleries for inspiration!

Engagement Session Tips for Specific Locations

For Beach Sessions (St. Pete or Tybee):

  • Bring a blanket to sit on for those cozy, close-up shots

  • Decide ahead of time if you want to go barefoot or wade into the water at the end (if you’re up for it—those splashy sunset shots are pure magic!)

  • Keep in mind that wind is a factor—flowy hair and dresses look gorgeous, but you might want a hairstyle that can handle the breeze

For Savannah Squares + Forsyth Park or St. Pete Pier (or in-home sessions!):

  • You might do a bit of walking—opt for shoes that are cute and comfy (or bring a backup pair of flats to change into as needed)

  • Consider accessories like a sunhat or bouquet if you want to personalize your session a little more! Or, you could even have a picnic during your session!

  • Include your furry friend in your session! (Pro tip: If your shoot is in a public space, make sure you bring someone along as a “dog wrangler” – that way you aren’t worrying about the dog when it’s not in the photo.)

Other Helpful Tips to Help You Relax

Trust me to lead: I’ll guide you through the whole session, from where to stand to what to do with your hands. You don’t need to know how to pose or how to get the best lighting – that’s all my job!

Thinking about having a cocktail before your session? Go for it! If a drink will help you loosen up, absolutely yes—but keep it light. One drink is usually perfect to shake out the nerves!

Breathe and stay present. This is about celebrating your love—not performing. Be yourselves, focus on each other, and let the rest unfold naturally!

You’re Going to Do Great—Promise

Engagement sessions aren’t about being perfect—they’re about connection. Whether you’re strolling under the oaks in Savannah or soaking in the sunset on St. Pete Beach, I’m here to make this process easy, joyful, and completely stress-free.
